The goal of the ninth iteration of the MOPGA Fellowship is to bring 60 early-career academics from throughout the globe to France to conduct research. The fellowship program lasts for twelve months. The international scientific community and an increasing number of gifted people who want to contribute to research on important environmental and climate concerns are interested in the Make Our Planet Great Again (MOPGA) program, which was started in 2018. An iconic postdoctoral mobility program in France, MOPGA is acknowledged by French research institutions and laboratories and is one of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs’ (MEAE) premier funding programs. France, a key participant in the fight against climate change, is launching a new edition of the MOPGA program to boost scientific contributions to the topics addressed at the Conferences of the Parties (COP) in accordance with its commitment to the Paris Agreement.
International early career researchers who would like to work with top French research institutions will be able to apply for this ninth call for applications, which is sponsored by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE), in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR), and carried out by Campus France. “Make Our Planet Great Again” is what MOPGA is all about. Eligibility Criteria:
In order to be considered for the MOPGA Fellowship Program 2026 in France (Fully Funded), applicants must:
- All nationals, with the exception of French citizens, are eligible to apply for the MOPGA Fellowship.
- There are no restrictions on nationality.
- There will be 60 fellowships available.
- Candidates cannot be citizens of France to be eligible for this fellowship.
- Foreign researchers in their early careers who have earned a PhD within the last five years are eligible to apply (the thesis defense must have taken place between December 2020 and December 2025).
- Candidates must have spent more than ninety days in France between September 12, 2025, and December 12, 2025.
